Joe Worthington

Media Tech Director

Joe joined the VFC Staff in the July 2009 and currently serves as the Media Tech Director. He oversees all of the audio, lighting and set design at VFC.

Joe is a seven year member of VFC and has served in a variety of Pre-School and Elementary volunteer leadership roles. As a volunteer leader he served four years as an Elementary Ministry Lead Teacher, and helped pioneer the Kidamazoo Live program as a volunteer coordinator and director. 

Prior to joining the VFC staff, Joe worked for over 9 years at Stryker Corporation in various Operations and Engineering leadership positions, and prior to Stryker he served 10 years as an officer in the United States Navy.  Joe currently serves as a Commander in the United States Navy Reserve.

Joe earned his BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Ohio State University, and is a graduate of the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program and the Stryker Leadership Course at Harvard Business School. He is enrolled in the EPIC School of Ministry and will graduate in May 2010. He and his wife Melissa have four children.
