Valley Nights provides an opportunity for every Valley Family Church member to learn, grow, and develop their relationship with the Lord so they feel equipped to be a minister in the marketplace. Valley Nights includes classes that focus on spiritual growth, Biblical knowledge, and leadership development. Additionally, Valley Nights offers a unique in-person learning environment where individuals can cultivate meaningful relationships with one another.

Each term we offer a variety of classes that are designed to help you grow in your faith and build your relationship with God. This term at Valley Nights we’re excited to offer three unique classes.

Basics 101 | Getting a Grip on the Basics

This class will strengthen the foundation of your faith. Not only will your own faith be encouraged, but you will gain confidence in your beliefs so you can share with others. We’ll cover topics like: how to know for sure you’re a Christian, how to pray, how to hear from God, how to develop your faith, how to be an overcomer, how to live the abundant life, how to be filled with the Spirit, and more! This class offers a theological overview of the tenants of our faith. We encourage EVERYONE to take this class again and again.

Class Details:

  • Teachers: Various VFC Teachers
  • 8 Week Class
  • Every Wednesday from 6-7:30pm starting February 5
  • Pre-Req for any Valley Nights Class
  • Book Requirement: Getting a Grip on the Basics – each week we will go through a chapter or two. You will want this book to fill in the blanks, take notes, and have as a reference for the future. Books can be purchased online or at the VFC Pop-Up Shop or Info Center.

Discovering the Holy Spirit

In this class we will explore the person and power of the Holy Spirit, diving into His role in the life of a believer. Together, we’ll answer foundational questions like: Who is the Holy Spirit? How does He guide, speak, and empower us? We’ll also explore the gifts of the Spirit and how they operate in our lives to glorify God and edify the Church. Whether you're new to understanding the Holy Spirit, looking to deepen your relationship with Him, or desiring to be used by him to minister to others, this class will inspire and equip you to embrace His presence in your daily walk with Christ. This class runs from 6-6:50pm for 8 weeks. The cost is $15 and includes a book to supplement your learning.

  • What's Included: In addition to the weekly teaching, you will receive a book on the class topic to supplement your learning.

Decoding the Bible: Study Methods & Meaning

Discover how to dive deeper into God’s Word. Decoding the Bible: Study Methods & Meaning will equip you with practical tools to study Scripture confidently and apply it to your daily life. From learning to observe key details in the text to exploring deeper meanings through word studies, character studies, and observing general themes. Whether you're new to Bible study or looking to grow in your understanding, this class will inspire and empower you to unlock the richness of the Bible like never before. This class runs from 7-7:50pm for 8 weeks. The cost is $15 and includes a book to supplement your learning.

JV Intensive: Now What?

JV Students (6-8th grade) join us for a JV Intensive on Wednesday nights starting this February. During this 4-week Bible study intensive, we will dive deep into Scripture, explore practical ways to apply God’s Word to our daily lives, grow together in faith and community, and enjoy meaningful moments of connection and fun along the way. Using the book “Now What?” by author Matt McCarty we will learn to understand how God speaks to us through His Word and receive practical guidance for how to navigate our Christian journey. We would love for all JV students to join us each Wednesday night!

  • Every Wednesday from 6-7:30pm starting February 5
  • For 6th-8th grade
  • Book Requirement: Now What? by Matt McCarty. Free copy is available for pick up on Sunday morning leading up to the intensive.
